Right now I’m on my weeks vacation. A time for relaxation, overeating, drinking and no workouts right? WRONG! That’s right, I am actually going to continue to lift on vacation. Something about having the time to do it makes me happy to get before everyone and get a quick session in. Sure I could go join a local gym, and I may get a day pass here or there, but I actually brought some of the gym with me. Today I’ll go over my quick program that I’ll be doing for the next week while on vacation.
Week Off
Sure I could sit around and skip lifting, but when something brings you so much happiness and sense of accomplishment, NOT lifting would be worse for me. I packed (2) 40# dumbbells, (2) 25# Dumbbells, and (1) 35# kettlebell. This isn’t enough for a crazy amount of variation, but you’d be surprised at how far this small amount of equipment will get you. When it comes to food, I generally dont enjoy carbs, sweets, or junk food. I’ll try to eat repetitively clean. I want a nice suns out guns out for July 4th, so getting a nice pump going will be my thing.
Routine
I plan on doing a quick workout, enough to work my muscles but not enough to take up my whole time away from the fam. When the reps are higher, I’ll use a lower weight, and when the reps are lower, I’ll use the higher ones. Here is my plan for the following week:
Concentration Curls 3×20
Alternating DB Curls 4×12
Triceps Kickback 3×15
DB Skullcrushers 3×20
DB Front Raise 4×12
DB Side Raise 4×12
DB Shrugs 3×15
DB Bent Over Row 3×20
DB Elevated Pushups 4xFailure
DB Flys 3×12
Kettlebell Goblet Squats 4×20
Kettlebell Swings 4×20
Kettlebell Side Bends 4×20
DB Russian Twists 4×20
For cardio, I’ll either go for a bike ride or even swim at the pool/ocean. I’ll be pretty active all day with the kids on the beach.
I know some of you may think I’m crazy, and maybe I am, but as stated above, doing these cant hurt. I’ll get to get a nice little pump before we get back on the full gauntlet when I get home.
Have a great July 4th, Suns Out Gunz Out,
Trust The Process
