I was speaking with WB and Consolation_of_Philosophy a few weeks back about how I think may people in the world were prepared for some dark shit in 2020 only for things to “go back to normal” despite the fact that that it definitely feels like a “different” normal than the one we were accustomed to. We’re all having a difficult time figuring out just what everyday life is anymore. This site isn’t for political shit or current events and having said that, I said to myself “What is missing”
Then I looked out on the horizon of the current landscape of society and realized why we ended up here in the first place; to do better. Now, more than ever before, weakness, gluttony, excuses, virtue signaling and shaming masculinity is not only on the rise, its the expected norm. Society wants you to just be a weak peon that just “consooms.” I asked myself why did I message WB 5 years ago, disgruntled as to why I was killing myself and getting no where? Where did that high go from season 2 when Red Hood’s Assault and I were talking about curling 80lbs for reps.
The answer is simple, but not easy: What do you want? The answer is this: Greatness.
Arnold himself tried to hammer the point home that the mind is so much more important than the body. The body is the end result of what the mind drives us to be. Arnold didn’t just walk into a gym one day, pick up a dumbbell and magically become a champion. He picked it up and said “I’m going to be the greatest bodybuilder in the world,” and the mothefucker did it!
Guys if you’re struggling, feeling unmotivated or overwhelmed. Take a minute and visualize where you want to be and use EVERY resource you have to achieve it. Do you want those drinks that will make you feel “good” for ~3 hours and like shit for 3 days? Do you want to skip your workout because its “too hard” to get off the couch?
Look around you, everywhere you see weak fat blobs that are useless. I was out the other day and honestly just felt disgust looking at a couple in their mid 20s who were just obese landwhales. I thought about how they got there and came up with something I’ve called “Habit Inertia” in which if you constantly compound on things, it makes them easier to do. The problem with this is that this can be used to improve or destroy. Think about it, when you decide to skip the gym, eating junk food is all the more tempting. When you decide to get bombed on liquor, there’s “Imma start getting fit tomorrow.” Yet, if you dedicate towards being the hardest, most fit, most bad ass motherfucker, keeping to it becomes easier. Day 2 of clean diet is easier than day one. Day 5 of working out is easier than day 3. etc. We are working toward being what we were meant to be, Greek god statues carved of the flesh.
In conclusion, we dont fucking coddle you here. Cut the shit and get your ass in gear. We accept nothing short of greatness here, and if you’re not ready thats fine, but realize this and own it.
No. Fucking. Excuses.
Greatness or bust.
