Aggression is Good

One of my favorite old sports adages is “second place only means you are the first loser.” Today was a tough leg workout. You guys who are on program know that these phase two

Fuck equality. Be Better. You are not who you think you are or who you want to be, you are only what you put into the world. Put in more. Put in better. Be superior.

Wednesday leg days are no joke. Moving around 70,000 pounds doing hundreds of reps and doing them all in a controlled fashion so as to get full stretch and contraction of muscles on the concentric and eccentric movements of the lift breaks you down. The muscles fill with lactic acid and get sore, the central nervous system crashes and the energy is sapped from the body.

My gym is on two floors and at one point moving from the upstairs to the downstairs my legs almost gave out.

I spoke to J.Nyx about it this morning. He moved

Yes it will hurt. Do it or don’t do it, but don’t tell me you couldn’t. Your concentration is gone and your CNS is totally tanked where do you look for the fuel for those last few lifts. You could leave a few on the table. You could cheat lift them by using what Kai Greene calls mechanical advantages. You could push the weight fast forgetting the goal of muscle development and just move the weight. But what does that make you? That makes you number 2 aka the first fuckin’ loser. The answer is to dig down and find aggression. Find anger. Get your rage, focus it and use it for your benefit.

more than 65,000 pounds before most of you, including me, were even awake (damn 24 hour gyms!). What the fuck did you do?

So when the strength has been sapped, your muscles are on fire, your energy is shot, I did this today. Music on, walking through the gym making angry eye contact with people doing my Gorilla Walk. I want them to feel uncomfortable. I am not veering from my path. Get the fuck out of the way or I am going to walk through you. I want the amygdala of every person in the room to fire fight or flight and I want to feed off that energy until it gives me my second wind.

I got my last 40 reps. I got them slow, controlled, focused and with nothing fueling me but pure and unadulterated aggression. Find this aggression deep down in you.

I have told you 100 times and will tell you 100 more…this isn’t some health kick. We aren’t getting some exercise. This is war. I want every lift to be life or death. That is going to be the difference between us and the casuals who call us lucky in a few months.

People talk a lot about giving their all. People say things like “110%” or “I am going to kill it” but how many people are really willing to take that step. Here at team gets it done, team no excuses, Team WB Fitness we are not just using our knowledge of the body, the knowledge of lifting, our brute strength, our will, commitment, determination and stamina….we are using something

Do it. If it is going to kill you do it anyway. Die doing it if you have to. Cripple yourself doing it if you have to. Do it. Gods or Corpses. No exceptions.

else, something primal, something from the deepest recesses of our caveman brains…we are taking the aggression that is dormant in men and bringing it to the forefront.

This is an excellent first step.

The gym is where you find out you have this power and you find out how to focus it and use it towards your goals. The next step is to remember to take it with you out of the gym and into the streets.

Grind on!
