This is the first gainz fuel post of this season. As some of you know, I’m a mad scientist in the kitchen on how to hit the macros while still eating good tasting food. This week I’m going to give you guys my recipe for Chili Lime Chicken. Chicken is a bodybuilding staple and it doesnt have to be bland and boring. Lets get to how to make this awesome tasting food that will give you all you need to support that hard work in the gym.
Ingredients:
4lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs (Or buy them with the bone and skin on and debone yourself)
3 limes
Chili Powder
Sriracha
Olive Oil
Pepper
Prep
Grease a pan with olive oil and set your oven to 430 degrees.
Take two of the limes and cut them into eights.
Open thigh up and put a lime wedge where the bone was.
Squirt some sriracha on the inside
Once you put a lime in all of them, take the other lime and cut in half. Squeeze lime juice over all the chicken thighs.
Take your pepper and chili powder and season the outside of the meat
Squirt sriracha on the outer part of the chicken.
Put the whole thing in the oven for about 30 minutes or until done.
I kept the limes in the chicken until ready to eat then squeezed the remaining juice over the chicken before I ate it. It tastes amazing. It has spice, a bit of zest from the lime and even sweet notes from the lime caramelizing a bit. If you want, you can use chicken breast and butterfly it and cook it the same way.
