A Good Day: It Happens Fast

Welcome to week 2 guys. Specifically 1:2:2. How did week one treat you? For me, it was fucking awful. The new schedule, the demands on the body, the change in diet…I’ve been a zombie.

Then something just clicked yesterday. Sitting in the locker room, suited up, holding my water bottle and book, hood up, headphones on I knew something was going to be different. For lack of a better way to describe it, I was totally locked in. When I got up I was single minded in my purpose and gorilla walked out onto the floor.

I will say, I am not currently in the kind of shape that makes people jump out of the way when I am walking with purpose, but still I felt it. I worked my way through all of my lifts. My weights were up from the week before, my soreness was gone and my intensity was returning.

It was amazing getting a quick glimpse of what, if everything goes according to plan, will be the daily norm starting mid April. The thing about hitting your stride, even if it is just for one workout, is that it reminds you about why you are doing this. There are loads of great benefits that come from doing what we are doing, but the feeling of strength, of power and exertion of will into the world, that is where it is at.

When a simple walk to the mailbox or stroll through the grocery store turns into a ring  entrance you know you are where you need to be.

I have put this video here before, and I will again. I want you guys to watch it over and over again until this mindset becomes your default. Keep on that grind you fuckers. It is only week 2. Lets push and push hard. Everyone is to be beater ready by 4/1 and the race is on to see who gets there first. No excuses. No weakness. Keep fighting.
