Never Stop Lifting

Hey Fellas, I hope everybody is doing well and your training is on point.

I apologize for the brevity of today’s post, but I had a particularly rough stretch for the last week or so. I was faced with major professional challenges which produced an unusual amount of stress. From last Monday through this past Tuesday, I endured a level of stress that I have not experienced in many years. I could have taken the easy route, made excuses and succumbed to the stress. Instead, I did what I’ve done many times in the past – I cranked up my training, and within a matter of hours, my mind was clear and I was in a much better position to take on the week’s challenges.  I had to make some very tough decisions, but I was able to do so in a methodical manner – thanks to the weights.

I can’t tell you how many times over the years that my back was against the wall, and in every single instance, the weights were instrumental in overcoming challenges. The weights are always reliable. The weights never lie. The weights never make excuses.

As I’ve grown older and faced more challenges, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for how powerful the mental aspect of bodybuiding is. For me, it’s become the great stabilizer that keeps me disciplined, focused and capable of conquering all types of adversity.

Once you start in this game, you Never Stop. I absolutely love it!
