Hello Team.
Nearly one year ago on 11/23/17 I published the first 2 blog posts for WB Fitness. Now, nearing the year anniversary, 129 articles later and a lot of growth I am incredibly pleased to say that Team WB Fitness is bigger than ever. No longer is it just me, but we have two more staff writers, J.Nyx and Lou Skunt and a larger base of team members than I ever really thought I would see.
While it is not time yet to start up the workout again, it is time to begin getting regular posts on the site in lead up and anticipation of the 2019 training season which will consist of a 28 week base program and diet I am currently designing as well as “expansion pack” add-ons to supplement for particular body types and needs. 2019 will be, by far, the largest and most comprehensive program I have ever designed and I full intend to have better gains, for both myself and my team, than I have ever seen before.
A lot of stuff we did during the 2018 season was successful and we will keep it up. For instance, Friday’s will continue to be the Friday challenge (this Friday, 11/23, for the 1 year anniversary of the first post there will be a special off season weekend challenge) and, of course, there will be diet and workout tips, an open forum to discuss with like minded people and the encouragement that a closely knit team brings to the game.
However, there will also be some new additions. In order to be slightly better rounded we will be bringing in a woman who will write a Team WB for Women article. She is a coach and fitness fanatic who I look forward to introduce as part of the team. Another thing I will be doing is taking submissions for weekend articles. One thing that I have learned over the last year is that in writing these articles my focus gets stronger and it helps me in the gym. I want to share that experience so if you guys want to write an article, just shoot it over to me and I will put it up on Saturdays and Sundays.
So while the official start to the WB season isn’t until 2/18/19, right now is when we start putting our head in the game. Anyone who has ever driven a motorcycle will know that you do not actually steer a motorcycle. When you want to shift lanes, for instance, you look into the other lane and the bike will follow your gaze. I find that this holds for most of life, fitness included.
While we aren’t ready to go hitting the iron full time just yet, we are going to begin looking in that direction. Our body will follow our gaze. Ones focus will determine ones destination. In the meantime, get your cardio in, do some light lifting, look for fun challenges on Fridays, try to eat sensibly, try to be active and do not get too fat. 2019 is going to be here soon and it will, once again, be my turn to turn your guys into either gods or corpses.
Grind on!
