Well, it is Tuesday and that means another installation of Tasty Tuesday where we will give you a recipe that will help you feed those gains. However, before we get to the goods I want to talk to you about training while sick.
This week I have contracted the worst illness known to mankind. An illness so terrible, so loathsome that there is no other form of
sickness that could possibly compare. It is as bad as it gets. I have a cold. So the question I am sure we all have to ask is whether or not we should train when we are under the weather. The best I can do is tell you where my line is and tell you that you have to make your own decision. I will say, however, if you are going to talk about putting it all on the line, leaving everything on the floor and making sacrifices, you ought to be walking that walk as well and very often that walk really, really fucking sucks.
So where to draw the line? I am going to say that if I am sick in such a way that my stomach has gone sour that I will avoid all exercise. Fortunately, I am not that brand of sick now. I feel weak and a little feverish and like everything in in slow motion. My nose is stuffed and my throat hurts. However, my stomach seems fine and as such I will get my ass to the gym. Make no mistake, this is a day to half ass things. I will get my lifts and my cardio in but I am not even going to try for 100%. I feel, at this stage, that finishing is a victory. As a side note, double your hydration if you are sick you are going to need it.
On to the Tasty Tuesday recipe of the week. Today’s recipe is one of my favorite leg day dinners. This is a calorie dense protein bomb that tastes amazing.
